The Planning Board shall be appointed by the mayor subject to the approval of the board of trustees. Typically the Planning Board consists of 5 members. The Board is responsible for reviewing proposed
Development projects and making decisions on them in accordance with state statutes and local
bylaws and regulations. The Planning Board is also charged with long-range planning for the
Community, including creating and updating the Village’s Master Plan.
The Planning Board typically holds regular meetings once a month, on the second Tuesday, at 8:00 p.m. in Village Hall at 108 Old Schoolhouse Rd. New City, NY 10956. Agendas for each meeting are available for public review 3 days before the meeting and are provided in advance on this website.
